Nacho Average Book EdVenture

An EdVenture to Get STEM Books To Young Learners

I love a good EdVenture - whether it’s taking students to Belize, or hiking through the wilderness of another country - the idea of a journey to learn something new is invigorating. If you’ve been following my journey on social media lately, you may have noticed a wee bit of focus on a new edventure - a series of children’s books that are now collectively called the “Into the Jungle” series.

wildlife conservationbook series for children

The Into the Jungle series by Ashley Moseley for which I served as the producer and science consultant.

For more of the story behind these books, check out my earlier post and interview with the author, Ashley Moseley.

Since we published Nacho House Cat, we’ve added two new books, Why Did the Tapir Cross the Street? and This Birdie Told Me, as well as a series of toolkits for teachers on how to get these stories into their classroom. These toolkits are actually a big deal - free resources for teachers - but I’ll cover that in a later post.

We then took Nacho on a local tour to schools; public libraries and even a STEM conference. And what we discovered was that students, and teachers, loved the books! Kids love animals, and jaguars, tapirs, and scarlet macaws stimulate their imagination and curiosity, and generate lots of questions! So many questions!!!!!

And Now Here is How YOU Can Get Involved!

Inspire EdVentures - the company I co-founded to pursue these unique EdVentures - is hosting this campaign. There are two ways you can get involved!

Follow IE on Social Media - And Watch for GiveAways!

Over the next several months we will be hosting Library Giveaways through Inspire EdVentures Facebook and Instagram channels. Simply follow our campaign there and watch for ways that we will donate to your school of community library free of charge!

Donate Books to Your Local School or Library

We’ve purchased copies of the series at cost - and we are making them available to you to send to your local library. Here is the good news… the entire set is only $33 - a 30% discount from Amazon or online booksellers! PLUS… we will pay for media rate shipping ! To learn more about this, click on the image below.

Follow Nacho and Friends on Their EdVenture!

We’ve also created an interactive map so that you can see the libraries and bookstores that are part of this EdVenture!

If your store or library is carrying our series, and you’re not on our map…. let me know by contacting me at michael@inspire-edventures.com.

My ultimate goal is to create a community of people and institutions with which I can share our work, and that of our conservation partners, on wildlife conservation and education, and provide a way for you to share it with your readers and patrons, of any age, free of charge.

No promos, no upsells, no clickbait - just science and education in its purest form.

So join me on taking Nacho & Friends on an EdVenture!
